Our Process
Our hay is grown 100% organic with no chemicals being sprayed on the fields. Having the fertile soil like we do in Ontario helps allow the hay to be packed with higher protein levels while maintaining and great natural colour.
All our hay is stored inside dark barns while being elevated on wood as a separation barrier from the ground preventing moisture to come into the hay. All barns have proper ventilation for a steady airflow so the hay doesn't sit in stagnant air. All hay we bale to sell is taken off the field from 8-13% moisture to avoid having to use and sort of preservatives to keep the hay from molding or heating.
We use Heston class A 1840 inline balers to make the cleanest cut bale and a bale barron 4250T to wrap all our small squares into bundles.
